At Grand Knights Chess Academy, we love celebrating our students’ growth, confidence, and achievements. Photos and short video clips help us share the joy of learning, highlight our programs, and build a positive community.
To ensure transparency and respect for every family, we ask all parents and guardians to review the following policy:
Use of Photos & Media
By enrolling your child in any Grand Knights Chess Academy program, event, class, camp, or activity, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
- We may take photos and short video clips of students during regular programming, tournaments, camps, and special events.
- These images may be used for non-commercial, promotional, and educational purposes, including: our website, social media pages, flyers, brochures, and printed materials, newsletters and community updates, internal training and documentation.
Privacy & Safety
We are committed to protecting every child’s safety and dignity:
- We never share personal information such as last names, addresses, school names, or contact details.
- We do not post images that are inappropriate, unflattering, or that compromise a child’s privacy.
- Images are used solely to highlight learning, community, and positive experiences.
Opt-Out Option
We understand that some families prefer not to have their child photographed.
Parents/guardians may opt out at any time by emailing info@grandknightschess.com with the subject line “Photo Opt-Out” and including the child’s full name and the program they are enrolled in.
If you opt out:
- We will make every reasonable effort to exclude your child from photos and videos.
- If your child appears in a group photo unintentionally, we will remove the image upon request.
No Impact on Participation
Choosing to opt out does not affect your child’s enrollment, participation, or standing in any program.
Consent
By completing registration, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Photo & Media Release Policy and consent to the terms unless you choose to opt out.
